Last fall at a local event at our Best Buy we had an opportunity to see our first drone flying in the air. Until that time we never knew how quiet and fast they were, let alone great producers at a huge amount of wind. While the live demonstration only lasted a few minutes inside the store, it was thrilling to watch how it was controlled, flew, and the video it could capture just in those few minutes.

Solo, the Smart Drone, arrived in over 400 Best Buy stores across the country. It is powered by two integrated Linux computers, making this the first drone to have this power source.

Since GoPro cameras are the camera for those who live an active lifestyle, it only makes sense to equip one on a drone and Solo is the first drone offering full control of GoPro cameras. Additionally, it delivers live HD video to your mobile device wirelessly or live broadcasts can be accessed through the controller’s HDMI port.

If you are a huge selfie person and have your own selfie stick, then the drone might be a step up for you. As it moves to fly away it keeps the camera focused on you in the center of the screen and includes the scenery around you.

The Solo retails for $999.
