All You Need Is Love and a Mom Cave

Ever since we started building our home my mind always pictured the model home furniture in our house. When we moved in, reality hit. No more dreaming of furniture, as we had our now almost six year old sofa, and an even bigger problem. No mom cave.

All you need is love and a mom cave

Our first leather sofa was one of the best investments we ever made and has made all the difference in the long Arizona summers, but now that we are nearing the six year mark the coloring is beginning to fade in some areas and a lot of fading in other areas.

Please have a seat but watch out for the crack

At this house, with all of the ceramic tile, the pieces do not stay together well and need to be rearrange often. When people come over we have to carefully check so someone does not end up sitting on the floor.

Creating a warm and inviting mom cave is important.

The Mom Cave requirements:

  • Comfort is primary. Most people do not know that 18 years ago when I had a car accident it left me with permanent changes to my health and my body. A seating area that takes care of my physical needs is of utmost important to me, since I spend the majority of my day there.
  • Stylish. It must look awesome.
  • A place to blog, tweet, Facebook, pin on Pinterest, teach my children their homeschool lessons, play video games, and when my days are really, really {I mean really} bad physically it is also where I sometimes sleep. It is my mom cave, once everyone is in bed and I can steal a few moments to myself.

Where the magic happens

A warm, comfy blanket and a well worn seat is where I currently sit and where the magic happens. Definitely not the beginning of a mom cave, but that is where La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries can help.

Designing the ultimate mom cave with La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries.

La-Z-Boy Delaney Room Inspiration from Brooke Shields

The Delaney Room from the Brooke Shields collection is phenomenal and one that I would love in my own home, but with a spot of red on the walls instead of the green. Somehow the dark gray seems perfect!

Shopping the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries Online Catalog is a fun and easy way to see design options. Play around with color, design, and experiment to find what style and design is important. Their great-looking designs offer more than 900 covers in fabric and leather with more than 250 different frames, which will fit any home.

Legend Sectional from La-Z-Boy in Black

The Ultimate Mom Cave includes a comfortable seating area and I really fell in love with La-Z-Boy’s home entertainment sectionals with the wedges. As an avid gamer mom, it is one of the big ways I can connect with my boys with my physical limitations.

The Laurel Chair and a Half is on my list of dream items to add to my mom cave. A perfect solution for all the important “ing” related parts of my life: working, reading, playing, snuggling, relaxing, dreaming. The list is endless, as are the fabric selections.

If you are like me, and need just a little bit of help figuring out which style to choose for your home, La-Z-Boy stores offer free In-Home Design Assistance from professionals. They even have La-Z-Boy designers visit your house if needed for the sofas and chairs that fit your home and budget.

Now I am off to dream about all the options for my home office, which is currently just a dumping ground for everything and anything since we moved into our new home, ahem, six months ago. Back to the Pinterest boards for even more inspiration.

Thank you, Rachel! There is just something about the gray and I can’t put my finger on it.

I am tossing on deciding which set, the gray or cream or blue. My living room is yellow and white, colonial with fb and tv on top. Need right side lazy boy for hubby and left lounge for me. He comes in and takes twenty minute naps daily while i am watching my favorite shows. Presently an old love seat and coach with bed not used for 18 years. Ugly cotton material multi strip. Yuck. Time for change, I need to win this gift for my 60th bd at the end of the month. All six of my sisters and their spouses would be surprise and want to shop here too.

Gray, cream, or blue sound beautiful! Definitely a difficult choice but at least you know what style you want.

I have to agree with you on all counts! The entertainment sectional you featured is fabulous! My family would love it. For Mom, however, the Delaney room is stylish and stunning! I think I would like softer tones in my Mom Cave but without a doubt, I would love to take advantage of the in home design service! What a help. Thanks so much for sharing your finds 🙂
