Chevrolet Launches 4G LTE Wi-Fi in Cars
Family travel changes constantly as kids grow and Chevrolet recognizes that technology plays an essential part into getting to your destination with smiles and sanity intact.
Chevrolet is the first automotive company to bring 4G LTE Wi-Fi in cars, trucks and crossover vehicles.
Many airplanes offer Wi-Fi for our travel adventures so it only makes sense to have Wi-Fi capability in our cars for daily commutes and for longer travel. Now there are no excuses on how to keep the family sane across all those miles.
Watching beloved movies from our generation and introducing them to our children now provide hilarious moments as it used to be considered a super cool status to have one of the gigantic phones in the car. Many years from now our children will laugh when we remind them that Wi-Fi was not always standard in cars.
Connects up to seven devices
OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi is the ultimate Wi-Fi hotspot offering signal quality and bandwidth that can handle up to seven devices from your car. No matter the span of ages in your vehicle, everyone can be happy.
What could you do with Wi-Fi in cars?
Streaming content, music, entertainment, and much more. Finding our way to fun events, interactive games on a tablet, chatting with friends, or just sharing photos of your recent travel adventures are just a few ways to utilize the tools available to you. Connecting with others has never been easier.
Chevrolet does not encourage distracted driving.
Although it might be tempting to use the Wi-Fi while driving, safety is always first. Technology is only for passengers to use while on the go but can be used by drivers when they are parked. As always, getting to your destination safely is more important than any text.
4G LTE Wi-Fi now available on these vehicles:
- 2015 Volt
- 2015 Malibu
- 2015 Impala
- 2015 Corvette
- 2015 Equinox
Although there are only five Chevrolet vehicles currently available with this connectivity, eleven more vehicles will be added soon. Spark, Spark EV, Sonic, Cruze, Cruze Diesel, SS, Trax, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, and Silverado are all slated to have Wi-Fi added to the 2015 vehicles.
After driving a Chevrolet Suburban for many years, this is such an awesome feature to have technology at our fingertips all powered from our vehicle. If you have been thinking of upgrading your family car, now might be the perfect time.
Chevrolet is merging the physical freedom of the car with the virtual freedom of Wi-Fi to become the first and only car company to bring built in 4G LTE Wi-Fi to the largest vehicle line-up. Visit http://s.chevy.com/TBX to learn more.
