Have a Confident Smile with Sonicare PowerUp
When hands are affected by disease or illness, dental hygiene often suffers but after years of struggling with proper dental care I finally found an affordable electric toothbrush that works for me with the Sonicare PowerUp in this sponsored post for Collective Bias®.
The last time I visited my dentist was when I experienced a tooth breaking for the first time. That visit turned into an unexpected seven hour procedure and a double root canal. An awful side effect of living with Fibromyalgia and Lupus is that I do not feel ANY pain in my teeth until a root canal is needed.
Over these last years I have struggled to take care of my teeth because my hands just don’t work like they normally should. My high dental bills are a huge indication of just how difficult it is for me to properly brush my teeth and the confidence in my smile has suffered. All the years of braces to have straight teeth has ended up with a smile I am not quite happy to share.
A manual toothbrush had been my best option for me. Until now…
When I was asked to try a brand new electric toothbrush that is available at Walmart for less than $20 I was definitely eager to try it. It was as if my dentist was handing me a gift.
Any toothbrush that can help ease my time in the dental chair is one that needs to be in my bathroom cabinet.
The Sonicare PowerUp is brand new and even comes with the batteries that are super easy to install for this affordable electric toothbrush.
Although there are not many instructions, there is one very important one to follow. Placing the toothbrush in the mouth before turning it on is highly recommended. I wasted quite a bit of toothpaste even after I read the directions because this whole toothbrush with batteries in it is so new to me.
The very first time I used the Sonicare PowerUp my gums, lips, and chin were tingling from the tremendous amount of vibration. I was not sure I would like it but it was important to give it a full try.
Immediately after using the Sonicare PowerUp for the first time I noticed my teeth had that slick feel to them just like a dental cleaning.
I only wish I had taken a close up before picture of my teeth. I cannot believe the difference in my gums and the amount of plaque with just one use. I even ran my tongue over my newly clean teeth and exclaimed “Wow!” It was totally like a dental commercial. Just without the hair, makeup, lights, and camera crew.
One aspect of successfully living with Fibromyalgia and Lupus is to find even the small things that make it better for your life. I feel like I have found some secret to finally helping me take care of my teeth.
After using this for over a week now I am fully adjusted to the feel of the vibrations in my hand as I brush. I can now reach places only my dentist could before.
While no toothbrush can take the place of your dentist, Sonicare PowerUp offers “A month’s worth of brush strokes in a day” which just might make your dentist jealous, your gums happy, and you might find your confident smile again.
