Molten Mustafar Dip
Anakin Skywalker and Ben Kenobi’s epic lightsaber battle on Mustafar from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is recreated through food with a Molten Mustafar Cheese Dip that just might tempt Yoda over to the Dark Side.
My husband was creating a healthier version of his famous cheese dip and nailed it with this combination. Our Star Wars Disney Side party guests vanquished the dip faster than Boba Fett getting killed in Return of the Jedi.
RELATED:
Once my son heard about the dip he quietly began working with LEGO bricks and surprised us by adding a platform for his Anakin and Obi-Wan Star Wars characters from Hasbro. During the party rubber bands were used to securely hold them in place so they didn’t accidentally fall into the food while serving it on their plate. While we strive for authenticity, this dip is free of any severed appendages. If you have no idea what this means, watch Revenge of the Sith.
Molten Mustafar Dip
Ingredients:
- 48 oz. mild salsa
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 10 oz. queso fresco
- 2 Tbs. garlic
- 1 pound shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
Directions:
- Add salsa, cream cheese, and queso fresco to crockpot on high.
- Brown ground beef with garlic.
- When ground beef is cooked through, add it to the crockpot and stir.
- Simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally, then add shredded cheese and drop heat to low.
We served our Molten Mustafar Dip with scoopable chips but this dip can be used over pasta in place of a pasta sauce, served alone, or drizzled over a baked potato.
This cheese dip was made for our Star Wars Disney Side party. Be sure to check out our Disney Side party post for more information on how to make your own Star Wars party and show off your Disney Side.
