Party In A Jar Book Launch Party
Many successful bloggers have launched books from their creative endeavors through their blog and it was absolutely an honor to be invited to the Party In A Jar book launch party for Vanessa Rodriguez Coppola and receive an autographed copy of her book.
Vanessa writes the popular craft blog called See Vanessa Craft, and I am very happy to call her one of my blogging friends. One of the first times I sat next to her at an event where crafting was involved I may or may not have been a little giddy with excitement to actually see Vanessa craft. We were working with vinyl and it was my very first time. Vanessa talked me through it and I successfully made my project. A quick trip to the bathroom ended up in a conversation that lasted a little too long and by the time I returned Vanessa was already done crafting so I never actually saw her craft.
Vanessa’s new book is called Party in a Jar featuring craft projects for kids that start with a jar ranging from edible to gifts themed for the holidays. Easy step by step directions are provided to enjoy crafting with your child.
The book launch party featured an intimate gathering of Arizona bloggers on a patio underneath the moon on a warm evening earlier this month. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by balloons and signs of fun ahead.
A banner with Vanessa’s book cover and photo in the living room showcased her beautiful book. Two tables supplied drinks and treats with beautifully decorated accents perfect for the event. Photos from her book were turned into coasters and even imprinted on the napkins. The theme carried over into the cookies of her silhouette made by her mother just for the event. They were almost too good looking to eat and there was a slight twinge of guilt when I bit her head off but they sure were tasty.
Jars were everywhere and even our place settings had drinks with name tags on them but the fun part of the evening was taking pictures together with her book name in the background.
After everyone arrived it was time to get our craft on and make the jar with tissue paper seated at tables with personalized greeting cards and bags filled with crafting supplies from her sponsors.
The entire night was a celebration of Vanessa’s hard work but instead of lavishing attention on her, she chose to give to all of us by crafting together and just enjoying the evening. Vanessa is one of the sweetest women you will ever meet and it was an honor to be included in celebrating her new book.
