Race With Ryan Video Game For Ryan’s World Fans
Race With Ryan from Ryan’s World in his video game with magical eggs.
YouTuber Ryan from Ryan’s World has become so popular that he now has his own video game called Race With Ryan, which launched today.
If you have a young child, then you probably know about Ryan’s World from YouTube, have purchased a Ryan’s World Giant Mystery Egg, or even have chapstick with Ryan’s World on it. He is a popular kid, that is for sure, but having his own video game certainly takes his notoriety up a notch, fulfilling perhaps every child’s dream to be part of a video game.
Thank you to Outright Games for giving us an advanced copy of Race With Ryan to review.

Race With Ryan is rated E for Everyone.
This family friendly video game offers solo play or split screen with up to four players on the same console.
The game opens with a video short from Ryan and his family showing some of their fun times together. Ryan narrates the game and helps you navigate the menus to choose your favorite race.
The game is called Race With Ryan because it is all about racing cars on six different tracks, 12 if you count that each track can be raced forward or backward. Choose your car where Ryan drives or one of his Ryan’s World friend drives, with a total of 21 options to choose from.
The race track is colorful and fun music plays as you drive your choice of different vehicles in an attempt to be the best racer on the track. Be sure to watch out for Ryan’s Mystery Eggs on the track. They are full of surprises that give you a boost. Watch for Burger Shields, Sticky Slime, Trick Egg Surprises, and more.
There are dangers on the track for you to avoid so watch out for those items as best you can.
Throughout the race Ryan will pop up with faces on the lower right side of the screen, cheering you on and encouraging you to continue the race. If you take first place he cheers for you but if you do not the character in the car starts crying.
Three levels of difficult allow you to customize your game play based upon ability. Choose from easy, medium, or hard to challenge yourself or your friends and family.
Career Mode offers six trophies to win by completing multiple races to win. Ryan shows up in videos before these races.

Tips For Brand New Racers
Need help learning how to play the game? Go to the learn to play area and Ryan will narrate how to use the controls to learn how to race. This is very helpful for little ones who have never raced a car before in a video game. Learn how to drift to get extra speed. Auto accelerate and smart steering are two options available for racers who need a little bit of help. Of course, these options can be turned off as your skills increase.
Race in all of the game modes to unlock all the extra content.

A Note To Parents
If your character does not win the race, they end up putting their hands to their face and cry. This one feature of the game is a disturbing aspect because it teaches children they should cry if they do not get first place. The first time my children played this game they noticed it and commented that it is a very unsportsmanlike behavior. Considering Ryan’s reach into the preschooler and young children’s market, this is an important factor. Ryan does appear on video and say “Let’s forget this race and think about the next one” so it does end up on a postive note. Yes it is disappointing to not win, but perhaps a better way to approach it is to have the characters respond in a positive way. This does open the door for an important conversation with your child on how to handle disappointment.
If your child wants to see Ryan in a different way and join his world, then this is a video game your young child will probably enjoy. This game plays very much like Mario Kart and has the same feel for the players, but you are immersed in a different environment.
With the easy controls and colorful play environment, this is a game fit for younger players driving their first race car in a video game. Throw in their favorite YouTuber from Ryan’s World and Race With Ryan is a fun combination filled with cute characters, magical eggs, and trophies.
