The Avengers Party for Superheroes

The Avengers Party turned into a family fun night inviting another family over to play a few games and give the children plenty of opportunities to be their own favorite hero.

The Iron Man tablecloth and disk launchers we had stashed away were brought out for the occasion. All we had to do was add a few things for even more fun.

Shopping for Avengers merchandise

We asked the boys to spot anything related to Avengers and boy did they find everything possible with the Avengers logo through the store. Books, toothbrushes, toys, clothing, food, and movies were found everywhere. They filled our cart with great items but then came the difficult task of deciding what items to bring home for a family fun night.

Ultimately we only purchased a few items and mostly used the items we had already at our house, such as the LEGO Hero Factory Hulk, Iron Man, and Captain America.

How to Make a Captain America Shield

When my six-year-old son was disappointed we did not buy him the coveted Captain America’s shield for each of the four children, he became very resourceful and made his own using paper and tape. He thought it would be great to have each child at the party make their own.

DIY Captain America Shield

Simply purchase a frisbee in your color choice. Turn it over and add a handle by folding a piece of paper and attaching it with tape. For a simple DIY design that a child created, it turned out pretty well. Remember, parties don’t need to be complicated or fancy in order for children to have fun.

Out of all the items to choose from, the kids were most excited about the Avengers cupcakes. The ring on top has amazing super powers, at least to little children running here and there holding their favorite superhero.
