TRANSFORMERS Construct-Bots: More Than Meets the Eye

Transformers Construct Bots More Than Meets The Eye

When your husband grows up with TRANSFORMERS and has boys of his own then TRANSFORMERS Construct-Bots will surely be an item one boy will ask for, especially at Christmas. My oldest son was super excited to discover TRANSFORMERS sent us Soundwave for my boys to play with as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

Will you choose a Decepticon or an Autobot?

When selecting a Construct-Bot for your child, you must choose a side and this is the most difficult part. Chances are your child will have a few characters that are their favorite. Here are the choices for you, separated by teams to help you decide:

Autobots (Good guys)Transformers ConstructABots Optimus Prime

 • Optimus Prime
 • Bumblebee
 • Wheeljack
 • Ironhide
 • Smokescreen
 • Hound
 • Cliffjumper
 • Silverbolt

Decepticon (Bad guys)

 • Megatron
 • Soundwave
 • Blitzwing
 • Shockwave
 • Starscream
 • Dead End
 • Thundercracker
 • Breakdown
 • Dragstrip

The Construct-Bots come with a plastic storage tray to hold the pieces when not in use so they do not end up underfoot, which is awesome for parents.

An entire manual is provided with step by step instructions on how to make their favorite character come to life. Be sure to be on hand for any questions your child has and they also might need a little bit of muscle too. Some pieces are not easy for little hands to snap together, but they do stay together and are sturdy.

Assembyling Transformers Construct Bots

After building the Autobot or Deception in robot form, the instructions show how to transform the character into the vehicle. You do not have to take the character apart in order to transform it. Soundwave transforms into a jet. Although the toy does not make any sound you just might hear the TRANSFORMERS theme song playing in your head.

The back of the instructions give a suggested combination of two TRANSFORMERS joined together.  For our set, Soundwave was recommended to combine with Wheeljack to make a new Transformer.

Assemble two TRANSFORMERS Construct-Bots together to customize your own bot.

Play also extends beyond the actual toy. Inside the box is a code to unlock virtual bot parts. When your child is finished building his character, you can upload a photo to the Best Bot Showcase, which are virtual bots built by fans. A free Construct-Bots mobile app is also available from the App Store or Google Play.
TRANSFORMERS CONSTRUCT-BOTS can unlock kids’ creativity. You can create a custom Bot as simply as swapping a head between two figures, but any part can be used nearly anywhere, allowing kids to create their own custom characters. Even the AUTOBOT and DECEPTICON symbols are interchangeable!
TRANSFORMERS Construct-Bots add a new dimension to play time and truly are more than meets the eye.
